LHH is partnering with a client in the Overland Park, KS area who is seeking a Benefits Coordinator. This position will be responsible for managing employee benefits programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing excellent support to employees. This role requires strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. Our ideal candidate would have at least 3-4 years of benefit administration experience, along with KPERS & MPP knowledge. This will be a 3-month contract, that could potentially get extended and/or permanent.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm- fully onsite

Pay Details: $70,000.00 to $75,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
- Administer and manage employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations related to employee benefits.
- Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefits records and documentation.
- Coordinate with benefits providers and vendors to ensure smooth administration of benefits programs.
- Conduct benefits orientations and provide ongoing education to employees about their benefits options.
- Assist in the annual benefits enrollment process and any mid-year changes.
- Prepare and distribute benefits-related communications and materials.
- Collaborate with HR and payroll teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of benefits-related transactions.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Benefits Coordinator or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of KPERS & MPP REQUIRED!
- Strong knowledge of employee benefits programs and regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Familiarity with HRIS and benefits administration software.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
