PDS Tech Commercial, Inc is currently hiring for a Aerospace Fabrication Specialist position in North Charleston, SC!
Job Title : Aerospace Fabrication Specialist
Job Type : Full Time; Consultant (12 Months)
Location : North Charleston, SC - 100% Onsite
Shift : 1st, 2nd, or 3rd Shifts
Pay Rate : 26.40 per hour
Job Description :
Performs machine set-up, machining, welding set-up, welding, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks.
Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks.
Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.
Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains.
Perform soldering on electronic and avionics products.
Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.
Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests. Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.
Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.
Works on articles of limited complexity following established drawings and requirements.
Required Qualifications (Experience / Skills) :
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
6 months experience with Manufacturing, Fabrication and Aviation.
6 months experience / proficiency with typical hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, ratchets, etc.) Use of high impact vibratory tools.
6 months of experience with pneumatic / hydraulic equipment.
6 months of experience / ability to perform computer searches to look up / read / comprehend technical work instructions, drawings and / or specifications.
6 months of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and / or other specialized computer applications.
Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals.
Conventional material layup, precision measuring, power, pneumatic and hand tools.
CNC experience.
Crane Operations experience.
Experience reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, material processes, schematic and diagrams in aviation.
Pay Details : 26.40 per hour
