PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Composite Technician for an exciting opportunity in Kinston, NC . In this full-time, 6-month consulting role , you will play a critical role in the fabrication, assembly, and quality assurance of aerospace components , ensuring industry-leading performance and precision. This position is ideal for professionals with composite experience looking to work with cutting-edge materials and technology in a fast-paced environment.
Pay Rate : 34 - 37 per hour
Schedule : Monday to Friday, First Shift (8 AM – 5 PM)
Location : Onsite in Kinston, NC
What You’ll Do
As a Composite Technician , you will :
Lay out, assemble, pre-fit, and bond composite and metal fabrications, skins, and structural parts.
Follow engineering specifications to determine correct bonding procedures, temperature, and pressure requirements.
Cut, sand, burr, and smooth materials to ensure precision and quality.
Apply sealing resins to cut or exposed edges for durability.
Operate autoclaves, hydraulic presses, and ovens to complete bonding cycles.
Perform complex rework and repair as needed, ensuring all processes meet aerospace industry standards.
Use precision measuring instruments and shop mathematics to verify completed work.
Monitor and verify quality compliance in accordance with controlled procedures.
Support continuous production flow , assisting and training team members when necessary.
Obtain MVP qualification through company-provided training.
What You Bring Required Qualifications :
2-5 years of experience in composite fabrication and assembly.
Aerospace industry experience required .
Ability to read blueprints, work orders, and engineering specifications to complete work accurately.
Strong understanding of lay-up tools, bonding techniques, and composite materials .
Local candidates strongly preferred .
Must be able to start immediately .

Pay Details : 34.00 to 37.00 per hour
