Industrial Maintenance Tech/Coordinator

Location: Wheeling, IL
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday – Friday | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM | Some Saturdays Required
Pay: 23–25/hour (based on experience)

Are you mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and ready to grow into a skilled Maintenance Technician? We’re hiring a Maintenance Coordinator in Wheeling, IL for a hands-on role supporting facility maintenance and operations in a manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who has completed a technical program, worked in a shop environment, or is ready to take the next step in their maintenance career.

What You’ll Do:

• Plan, schedule, and track maintenance activities using our CMMS (MaintainX)

• Collaborate with the maintenance team and contractors on PMs and repairs

• Coordinate and follow up on maintenance requests and documentation

• Help monitor and manage parts inventory and supply orders

• Gain exposure to preventative and predictive maintenance processes

• Assist in weekend maintenance and hands-on work with tools and machinery

• Support safety standards and participate in plant safety initiatives

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail

• Experience or comfort using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and MRP systems (QAD preferred)

• Comfortable reading diagrams and basic schematics

• Willingness to learn, stay organized, and be a key point of contact for vendors and internal teams

• Must be dependable, proactive, and motivated to build a long-term career in industrial maintenance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate degree, trade school certification, or technical training

• Exposure to PM systems, work order management, and inventory control

Pay Details: 23.00 to 25.00 per hour
