Stockroom Operations / Material Handling – Aerospace Industry
Location : Des Moines, IA 50265
Job Type : Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire (12 months)
Schedule : Monday–Friday, First Shift (8 AM – 5 PM)
Pay Rate : 22.00 - 25.00 / hour

Are you ready to be a crucial part of the aerospace industry? PDS Tech Commercial is looking for a detail-oriented Stockroom Operations / Material Handling Specialist to support essential inventory management for high-tech aerospace production. Your role will help keep operations running smoothly, ensuring that materials are available exactly when and where they’re needed.
What You’ll Do Every Day :
Material Handling & Inventory Management – Receive, store, and issue materials efficiently to maintain seamless production.
Data & Documentation – Record inventory data, print and assemble router packets, and maintain accurate stock levels.
Organization & Storage – Pack, unpack, and store items in an orderly, accessible manner.
Cycle Counts & Audits – Perform weekly inventory checks and assist in continuous improvement efforts.
Collaboration & Compliance – Work closely with cell planners, follow safety and quality standards, and support production priorities.
Flexibility & Commitment – Work overtime as needed to meet business demands.
What We’re Looking For :
Required Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience in stockroom operations, material handling, or inventory management.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures.
Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
Ability to lift / move materials and stand for extended periods.
This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and / or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies : 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.
Preferred Qualifications :
Prior experience in aerospace or manufacturing industries.
Familiarity with ERP systems or warehouse management software.
Knowledge of Lean / Continuous Improvement processes.

Pay Details : 22.00 to 25.00 per hour
