Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: Up to 21 per hour
Job Type: Contract with the potential for full-time conversion

We are seeking a motivated Material Handler to join our team at a 60,000-square-foot warehouse near the metro area. This position is open due to a full-time team member being on long-term disability, and with the company’s continued growth, there is a strong possibility of conversion to a full-time role for the right candidate.
If you have experience in material handling, warehouse operations, or additional trade skills such as carpentry, this is an excellent opportunity to be part of a team that values safety, efficiency, and career development.
What You’ll DoReceive and Inspect Shipments – Verify materials against shipping documents, check for damages, and ensure accurate documentation.
Inventory & Storage Management – Organize materials efficiently, maintain stock levels, and assist with regular inventory checks.
Order Fulfillment & Shipping – Pick, assemble, and package materials for shipment while ensuring accuracy and compliance with shipping instructions.
Material Handling & Transportation – Operate forklifts, hand-guided industrial trucks, and other equipment to move materials safely and efficiently.
Safety & Compliance – Work in a well-maintained, safety-first environment where personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided, including steel-toe shoes, protective eyewear, gloves, and masks.

Experience & Training – A two-year vocational training program plus up to one year of relevant experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or shipping/receiving.
Technical Skills – Ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or lift trucks (a practical test will be required during the interview).
Bonus Skills – Trade experience such as carpentry is a plus and highly valued in this role.

Pay Details: 21.00 per hour
