Radio Frequency Technician

Must be able to pass a soldering and electronics test onsite during the interview process.
Position Overview
As a Radio Frequency (RF) Technician, you will play a crucial role in testing, troubleshooting, and repairing RFID equipment used in railroad operations. This position requires strong technical expertise in radio communications, RF measurements, and electronic troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities
Testing & Troubleshooting :
Perform RF and DC system measurements for installation and tracking of RFID equipment.
Test AC and DC electrical specifications according to installation requirements.
Diagnose problems using test equipment such as network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes.
Troubleshoot to the board and component level using schematics and diagnostic tools.
Assembly & Repair :
Assemble and test RFID equipment, enclosures, and fixtures.
Repair and troubleshoot non-conforming products and defective units.
Document processes, production operations, and repair procedures.
Programming & Modifications :
Program radio equipment for RFID applications.
Perform technical modifications and upgrades as needed.
Interpret engineering drawings and schematics to support troubleshooting efforts.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience :
Minimum four years of experience in electronics troubleshooting, RF systems, or related field.
Equivalent education and experience in Electronic Technology will be considered.
Technical Skills :
Understanding of RF communication principles, RFID transceiver technology, and radio programming software.
Ability to use power tools, hand tools, and advanced test equipment (network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.).
Proficiency in Windows-based systems and radio programming software.

Pay Details : 27.00 per hour
