Role
PDW is seeking a Senior Director of Supply Chain to join our team, leading the organization’s purchasing, strategic sourcing, and logistics programs. The ideal candidate will thrive working in an innovative and fast-paced work environment, have excellent critical thinking skills, and play a pivotal role in shaping and operating PDW’s manufacturing operations for multiple best-in-class sUAS products.
Responsibilities
- Formation and sustainment of PDW’s production and NPI vendor ecosystems including vendor qualification, material sourcing, and interfaces with finance, quality, engineering functions.
- Oversee RFI, RFP, RFQ operations across multiple departments and sourcing requirements.
- Management of PDW’s strategic supplier engagement around variable source selection, contracting, and buy/make analysis.
- Formation and execution of S&OP/SIOP processes across sales and production functions to balance supply and demand planning.
- Manage procurement and material sourcing elements of PDW’s ERP system and act in partnership with production control and inventory functions.
- Act in partnership with master scheduling and material planning to ensure continuity of material supply to production and on-time delivery to R&D.
- Formation and sustainment of PDW’s logistics partner network from small parcel to full truckload, both domestic and international.
- Management of compliance initiatives around material sourcing, import/export, and fulfillment requirements with governmental and private customers.
Requirements
- 7-10 years experience managing supply chain operations inclusive of procurement, material handling, and logistics.
- Direct experience bootstrapping supply chain programs from low level of maturity into high performing, high throughput operations.
- Experience with governmental procurement and manufacturing standards and operations (DoD preferred)
- 3-5 years experience with electronics assembly, inventory management, and quality/verification testing.
- Experience managing implementation and refinement of the production operations arm of corporate ERP/MRP system.
- Strong working knowledge of configuration control policies, BOM management, and quality assurance controls.
- Must be in Huntsville, Alabama market or willing to relocate.
