Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our ENT and Audiology clinic. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to our office operations, ensuring efficient workflow and exceptional customer service. This role requires a proactive individual who can manage multiple tasks, maintain office organization, and assist with various administrative duties.
Duties
- Maintain accurate and organized patient charts, office files and documents, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Assist with billing office functions by following up on appeals, claims or other tasks as assigned.
- Ensure the office is HIPAA compliant and up-to-date at all times.
- Ensure all providers are credentialed and maintain active status with a all participating plans; credentials all new providers as needed.
- Support office management by organizing files, maintaining supplies, and ensuring a clean work environment.
- Provide estimates for patients as needed with hearing devices and certain procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to improve office processes and enhance overall efficiency.
- Special projects as assigned by the Owner MD and Administrator.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an administrative role or similar position is preferred.
- Front office and back office healthcare experience is essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge of insurance, billing and credentialing is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Proficiency in office software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) and familiarity with phone systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn are essential for success in this role.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
