Our client is a new private equity-sponsored platform company focused on HVAC services in the DFW, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio markets. As the company prepares for its next growth phase, they seek an experienced CEO to provide strategic leadership, streamline operations, and enhance profitability. This role is ideal for a seasoned executive with a strong background in HVAC, roofing, pest control, landscape services, construction, etc., who is adept at leading teams and driving organizational transformation.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The CEO serves as the strategic leader for the organization and, in conjunction with the private equity sponsor, works to achieve the overall vision and mission of the company. The CEO coordinates strategic initiatives and objectives that ensure the company’s financial health. This individual must lead by example and communicate the organization’s goals to the employees and customers.
The CEO will also help develop and expand upon the current investment strategy to reach a critical mass during the ownership period. The sponsor typically holds assets between four to six years.
- Lead all aspects of the company’s strategic growth plan, including organic growth and working with the private equity sponsor and founding owners on the identification, execution, and integration of add-on acquisitions.
- Provide operational leadership, support, and professional development to the management team, including assessing existing talent and recruiting high-level management personnel.
- Develop and nurture internal and external working relationships that are key to the company’s success, including current and prospective customers.
- Develop and lead strategic initiatives and special projects that further the company’s growth, including the identification of new business opportunities and service offerings.
- Develop management protocols and processes to effectively serve customers, engage team members, and achieve key business objectives.
- Regularly interface with the board of directors and private equity sponsor for update calls, strategy discussions, and board meetings.
- Interface with the company’s lenders to discuss strategy and rationale for any prospective add-on acquisitions.
- Serve as an active participant in steps toward a future exit process, including leading management presentations and coaching key team members to achieve optimal returns.
