Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in technical planning, systems integration, and verification / validation for weapon systems.
- Conduct cost and risk analysis, as well as supportability and effectiveness analyses, to ensure system readiness and performance.
- Perform engineering activities, including defining system requirements, reviewing vendor designs, and evaluating technical proposals.
- Research and develop technical solutions while performing systems functional analysis.
- Conduct trade studies, technical reviews, and support test and evaluation activities.
- Coordinate with USG agencies, prototype facilities, commercial vendors, and engineering firms to conduct comprehensive technical analyses.
- Contribute to the creation of engineering documentation and mechanical engineering analyses.
- Assist in identifying, managing, mitigating, and addressing technical and program architecture risks, including conducting interoperability analysis and risk assessments.
- Support the integration of current and evolving systems into weapon system platforms, ensuring compatibility and effective performance.
- Provide engineering support by applying mechanical engineering principles to assess the business and technical needs of Mission Partners.
- Contribute to the acquisition, development, and sustainment of weapon systems, subsystems, support systems, equipment items, or similar products
