General Function

  • Demonstrate understanding of DoD acquisition processes, analytical methods, and techniques to gather, evaluate, and analyze information required by the USG.
  • Assist with improving acquisition effectiveness and compliance through problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Support the development and drafting of acquisition documentation, including assisting with quality control, program efficiency reviews, and workload impact analyses.
  • Provide support for key acquisition events and reviews such as System Requirements Reviews (SRR), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), Critical Design Reviews (CDR), Test Readiness Reviews (TRR), and others.
  • Assist with planning, organizing, and analyzing program/project activities, providing assessments and recommendations to the USG.
  • Evaluate the impact of existing or proposed projects, programs, processes, and policies, and recommend improvements.
  • Support program strategy decisions and courses of action through detailed analyses and assessments.
  • Help with program management tasks such as milestone planning, tracking, scheduling, and briefings.
  • Assist in the development and staffing of requirements documents and the Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process.
  • Translate user requirements documents (e.g., CDD, CPD, CONOPS) into Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation.
  • Support the development of capability planning processes and assist in facilitating Capability Review and Risk Assessment (CRRA) activities.
  • Promote the use of MS&A tools throughout the acquisition lifecycle and assist in maintaining databases for specific analyses.
  • Assist in the integration of intelligence information and cross-enterprise capabilities to support system acquisition.
  • Provide support for program cost, schedule, and performance tracking.
  • Assist with the development of key program documents such as Data Item Descriptions (DIDs), CDRLs, and other acquisition documentation.
  • Support modification proposals (AF Form 1067) and manage program-related documentation for reviews and approvals.
  • Assist in developing technical data and inputs for staff summary packages and milestone approvals.
  • Provide schedule analysis using project management tools such as Microsoft Project.
  • Coordinate meetings, maintain schedules, and support the creation of programmatic documents and reports.
  • Support program reporting and tracking for the Defense Acquisition Executive Summary (DAES), Selected Acquisition Reports (SAR), and other key acquisition reports.

Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MA Degree and at least 10 years of experience in the related field, 5 of which must be with the DoD, OR, BA Degree and at least 12 years of experience related to the position requirements, 5 of which must be with the DoD, OR, 15 years of directly related experience, 8 of which must be with the DoD.
  • Must possess and maintain a government security clearance at the Secret Level.
  • Must be able to perform functional duties independently.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (including Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance
