Description
Peabody Properties Miami is seeking an experienced Painter to join its team of property manager professionals.
The Painter is responsible for maintaining all common area hallways, lobbies, fitness center and all other common areas painting needs. Work with the Building Presentation Lead to maintain the painted areas and overall appearance of all common areas, both interior and exterior. Perform all tasks as set forth by Supervisor and Property Manager. Must have flexibility regarding work schedule.
Responsibilities:
High school diploma or equivalency and building maintenance experience.
Experience/Knowledge/Abilities:
Requires a minimum of three (3) years general experience in painting. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required.
Special Requirements:
Ability to lift 50-100 lbs following appropriate safety procedures; work in an upright standing position for long periods of time; crawl in small and tight spaces; ability to work in different environmental working conditions; walk and climb stairs; handle, finger, grasp and feel objects and equipment; reach with hands and arms; ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required; repeat various motions with the wrists, hands and fingers; ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms and respond appropriately. Ability to work extended/flexible hours and weekends based on property needs. Driving when necessary. Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner. Climb ladders and work at heights above ground level.

Responsibilities:
- Performs all paining to all common area walls and stairways, unless such work requires a licensed and insured outside vendor.
- Ensures all safety precautions are followed while performing work.
- Maintains professional working relationship with all building staff.
- Conducts self in friendly, helpful and service oriented manner.
- Completes daily work orders as scheduled and assigned.
- Maintains assigned equipment/areas are in good working condition.
- Performs some casual labor, such as lifting/moving heavy items as needed, as well as janitorial tasks as needed and/or when directed by supervisors.
- Must be able to perform job functions both independently and as part of a team.
- Must have good interpersonal skills and communication skills both verbal and written.
- Must be able to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures prior to using this equipment.
- Must be able to recognize problems and identify solutions and bring them to the attention of supervisors and co-workers.
- Must have flexible working hours.
