About the Role
As a Surface Maintenance Specialist at Peabody Energy, you will be part of our Open Cut Maintenance team, responsible for the heavy maintenance of Shovels and Draglines. Your expertise will be utilized to plan and execute outages, ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment.
We are looking for individuals with a minimum of three years of mining-related experience working on large rope shovels and draglines. Your ability to work safely, promote safe behavior in others, and meet deadlines is essential. Additionally, you must be able to obtain a pit driving license at all locations and have experience with shovel repairs, job scopes, and planning.
This role requires strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as the ability to operate equipment in various weather conditions and times of day. You will also be required to train others in equipment operation and handle on-board computer systems.
