Position Overview:
The Fundraising Manager for Peace at the Workplace will play a critical role in securing funding for initiatives focused on promoting peace, mental well-being, and conflict resolution within the organization in Orange County, CA area. We are looking for someone local to Socal/OC area. This position involves developing and executing fundraising strategies, collaborating with internal stakeholders, and cultivating relationships with external partners and donors to support programs aimed at creating a harmonious and supportive workplace environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about fostering peace, inclusion, and wellness, with the ability to strategically generate financial resources that advance these goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fundraising Strategy Development:
- Design and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to support peace-building initiatives in the workplace, including mental health programs, conflict resolution training, employee well-being, and diversity and inclusion efforts.
- Identify and assess funding needs for various programs aimed at improving workplace harmony.
- Develop both short-term and long-term fundraising plans, including annual campaigns and grant proposals.
- Donor Relations & Cultivation:
- Identify and engage potential donors, sponsors, and corporate partners interested in supporting peace-focused workplace initiatives.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with individual donors, foundations, corporations, and other funding organizations.
- Develop and maintain a database of current and potential donors, tracking communications, donations, and engagement efforts.
- Grant Writing and Proposal Development:
- Research and identify relevant grant opportunities and submit compelling proposals to secure funding for peace and wellness programs.
- Ensure compliance with donor requirements and provide timely reporting on the impact of funded projects.
- Track the progress of funded initiatives and provide regular updates to donors and stakeholders.
- Campaigns and Events Management:
- Plan, organize, and execute fundraising events, campaigns, and initiatives both online and offline (e.g., charity events, employee donation drives, corporate partnerships).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and values.
- Leverage digital platforms, social media, and email marketing to engage employees and external partners in fundraising efforts.
- Impact Measurement and Reporting:
- Develop tools and metrics to measure the success and impact of peace-building programs funded through donations.
- Prepare regular reports, including progress updates and financial summaries, to communicate with stakeholders and ensure transparency.
- Advocacy and Education:
- Advocate for peace, inclusivity, and mental well-being in the workplace, integrating these principles into the organization’s culture and activities.
- Educate employees and management about the importance of peace-related initiatives and how their involvement in fundraising contributes to a healthier work environment.
- Stay up-to-date on best practices and emerging trends in corporate social responsibility (CSR), workplace peace, and mental health.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, or related fields.
- Proven success in managing fundraising campaigns, securing grants, and building donor relationships.
- Experience in corporate social responsibility, workplace well-being, or conflict resolution programs is highly desirable.
- Skills and Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write compelling grant proposals and engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- Experience in managing donor databases and tracking fundraising activities.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage cross-functional relationships.
- Proficiency in fundraising software and platforms (e.g., Salesforce, DonorPerfect, Bloomerang).
- Knowledge of peace-building, conflict resolution, and mental wellness practices in the workplace is a plus.
