LOCATION: Hybrid -- Remote and at Administrative Office, 217 S. Salina St., 2nd Floor, Syracuse, NY 13202
STARTING PAY RANGE: $24.00 to $28.00 per hour based on experience.
SCHEDULE: 25 hours per week.
POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to, and closely working with, the Community Engagement Manager, the Community Engagement Associate is a "hybrid remote" position that will provide critical support and occasional leadership of the department's efforts. These include event planning, volunteer and intern coordination, fundraising and fundraising recordkeeping, storytelling, and other community engagement functions. Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and flexibility are critical components of the position, as the role and its responsibilities can shift frequently to meet evolving agency and community needs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
? Demonstrated experience in a minimum of two of the following areas: event planning, fundraising, graphic design, public relations, communication, marketing, social media, or community engagement. While not a requirement, an associate's degree or more in a field related to these areas is preferred.
? Excellent verbal, visual, and written communication skills. Portfolios and/or writing examples by request.
? Proficiency in design software, Microsoft Office, and/or Adobe Suite. Experience with Adobe software (Express, Premiere Pro, InDesign, and Photoshop), WordPress, Social Media platforms, or fundraiser software is a plus.
? Flexibility to organize or attend events beyond normal work hours including occasional weekends.
? Capacity to successfully work independently and as a part of a team.
? Ability to manage multiple projects and events.
? Self-awareness, humility, and commitment towards understanding and embracing the varied communities served by PEACE, Inc.; understanding and embracing these qualities as central to the agency's mission.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Support and/or lead the planning and execution of events, including but not limited to fundraisers, press conferences, and other agency events.
? Support and participate in fundraising efforts. Maintain and update information within the agency's fundraising database as well as the agency's profile in community databases.
? Support and/or design promotional materials for the agency, its programs, and its social media platforms, including but not limited to flyers, brochures, invitations, and news stories.
? Lead volunteer and intern intakes and placements. Support and/or lead the planning of corporate and college volunteer opportunities.
? Attend and table at community and agency events.
CLEARANCE/CREDENTIALING: Agency mandated background check.
