What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nutrition Aide, preschool position at PEACE, Inc.?
SCHEDULE: Full-time (37.5 hours per week), 42 weeks per year.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6 months related experience in food services.
- Must be able to lift and /or move 25 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must have ability to work around young children.
- Experience working in school or day care setting helpful.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Receive food from central kitchen; check invoice for accuracy, store food promptly and at proper temperature.
2. Distribute food to classroom and serve meals and snacks as scheduled, following special dietary needs as indicated by Head Start nurse.
3. Load and unload dishwasher, and rinse empty food transport containers thoroughly.
4. Keep food preparation and serving areas clean. Follow established procedures for
sanitizing food contact surfaces.
5. Assist with classroom coverage as needed.
6. Monitor supplies of paper goods and cleaning supplies: notify Site Supervisor in advance when orders need to be placed.
