Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our organization adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal policies. This position requires a strong understanding of compliance frameworks, financial regulations, and the ability to conduct thorough audits. The Compliance Officer will work closely with various departments to promote a culture of compliance and integrity within the organization.
Duties
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs that align with regulatory requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act and GAAP standards.
- Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Monitor changes in regulations affecting the organization and ensure timely updates to compliance practices.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with corporate accounting teams to ensure adherence to financial regulations, including ACH transactions.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance-related issues and best practices.
- Assist in risk assessments related to compliance matters and recommend appropriate measures for mitigation.
- Maintain documentation related to compliance activities, including audit findings and corrective actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks including COSO principles and internal audit processes.
- Proven experience in corporate accounting or technical accounting roles is preferred.
- Familiarity with financial acumen concepts relevant to banking operations.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying compliance issues.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration across departments.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in regulatory reporting is a plus.

Pay: $24.66 - $25.50 per hour
