Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Provide memory care and support for individuals with cognitive impairments.
- Implement care plans tailored to each client's needs and preferences.
- Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring the safety of clients at all times.
- Support individuals with disabilities by facilitating activities that promote independence and social engagement.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment within the home or group home setting.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals regarding client progress and needs.
- Document care provided and any changes in client condition accurately in care logs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in senior care or working with individuals with disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques and best practices is highly desirable.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training may be provided.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to follow care plans accurately while being flexible to adapt to changing client needs.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.
