Job Description
Pacific Grove-based Peace of Mind Dog Rescue seeks a compassionate Development Director to lead nonprofit fundraising and donor cultivation efforts.
About the Organization
Peace of Mind Dog Rescue has grown significantly since its founding in 2009, becoming a leader in animal welfare and nonprofit communities in the tri-county area. The organization provides critical support to senior dogs and people, as well as low-income and senior pet guardians.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a year-round fundraising program and community-based donation drives.
- Cultivate and steward a diverse base of donors and foundations, identifying and soliciting quarterly and annual goals.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director on major gifts prospect identification and donor upgrades.
- Represent the organization's mission to diverse groups, including community leaders, corporate/foundation representatives, individual donors, and volunteers.
- Utilize donor/relationship management software to track donors and generate reports.
