What are the responsibilities and job description for the Philanthropy Manager position at Peace of Mind Dog Rescue?
Pacific Grove, California-based Peace of Mind Dog Rescue is a reputable organization seeking an experienced Philanthropy Manager to spearhead its nonprofit fundraising efforts. As the lead developer of our fund development program, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with donors, foundations, and community partners. Your expertise in annual giving, special events, donor relations, and communications will drive growth in our existing base of engaged donors.
As part of our team, you will collaborate closely with our Executive Director to identify and cultivate major gift prospects, as well as develop strategies to increase donations from our diverse donor pool. Additionally, you will oversee the implementation of a year-round fundraising program, including community-based donation drives, and work to establish quarterly and annual goals that meet or exceed expectations.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent project management abilities, and the ability to effectively communicate our mission and interests to various stakeholders. Experience using donor/relationship management software and grant proposal writing/reporting are significant assets. This salaried position offers a comprehensive benefits package, including 9 paid holidays, 48 sick hours per year, and mental health time. While occasional travel to our Pacific Grove office may be required, we are open to accommodating hybrid work arrangements if necessary.
