We are seeking a skilled AV Service Engineer to join our team and ensure seamless operation and maintenance of our AV systems.
Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair audio-visual systems, including video conferencing, digital signage, control systems, and integrated AV solutions.
- Perform on-site and remote technical support for AV installations and service calls.
- Conduct routine system maintenance, firmware updates, and configuration adjustments.
- Collaborate with project managers, technicians, and clients to provide expert guidance on system performance and upgrades.
- Document service activities, system configurations, and resolutions in the company database.
- Train end-users and clients on AV system functionality and best practices.
- Stay up to date with the latest AV technology, industry standards, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies when working on-site.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3 years of experience in AV service, installation, or technical support.
- Technical Knowledge: Expertise in AV signal flow, control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX), video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex), and audio DSPs (Biamp, QSC, BSS).
- Certifications (Preferred): CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D, Crestron, Extron, Biamp, or similar AV industry certifications.
- Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities, proficiency with testing tools, and knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, VLANs, PoE).
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move AV equipment, work at heights, and travel to client sites as needed.
- Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is a plus.
