It is the mission of the Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) to continually enhance the professionalism of California law enforcement in serving its communities.
POST is recruiting for two LEC II positions in the Peace Officer Standards Accountability Division (POSAD), and will consider hiring at the level of LEC I. POSAD reviews investigations conducted by law enforcement agencies and conducts additional investigations into serious misconduct that may provide grounds for suspension or revocation of a peace officer's certification.

Working Conditions
POST's headquarters is in West Sacramento, California. However, work assignments are located in Southern California and require travel to various locations, including Los Angeles County, San Diego County, San Bernardino County, etc., in order to conduct investigations related to serious misconduct.
Regular and consistent attendance is critical to the successful performance of this position.
This position is Hybrid and may be eligible for telework, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy, and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

- Provide a detailed account of any experience you have in providing testimony either as an investigator or subject matter expert before a court, oversight body, or hiring authority.
- Provide your experience with conducting investigations within a law enforcement setting, including any notable cases of outcomes.
