Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and demonstrate a commitment to providing high-quality therapeutic services. This role involves working with individuals facing various mental health challenges, including addiction, trauma, and emotional distress. The therapist will utilize evidence-based practices to support clients in their journey toward improved mental well-being.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Provide individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various therapeutic modalities including but not limited to cognitive-behavioral therapy and dance therapy.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation in compliance with clinic policies and relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
- Engage in crisis management when necessary, providing immediate support and intervention for clients in distress.
- Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health treatment, including knowledge of ICD-10 coding and medical terminology.
- Offer addiction counseling services as needed, supporting clients through their recovery process.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment that encourages open communication and trust.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Valid licensure or certification as a Mental Health Therapist or Counselor.
- Experience in mental health counseling, with a focus on crisis management preferred.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices and terminology.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding is advantageous.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred; experience with dance therapy is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
