Summary
Analyze business practices to educate and assist employees in utilizing systems to improve practices. Provide training on new and existing application functions. Assist employees by troubleshooting and supporting business applications. Develop and maintain reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following is not intended to cover each aspect of the position as the scope and duties of a given position may change or be temporarily altered based on the business needs. The basic requirement of every position is to perform all tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
- Analyzes business practices and performs workflow analysis.
- Recommends and implements quality improvements to increase efficiency and functionality of software applications.
- Documents, prioritizes and tracks requests (changes, enhancements, etc.) and coordinates with management.
- Utilizes project management best practices to manage projects and project schedules.
- Conducts project meetings.
- Documents applications, procedural specifications and user manuals.
- Maintains current technology expertise.
- Understands current business and operational processes for all business units.
- Provide functional support for personnel and facilitates resolution of system problems.
- Train personnel on new features, configurations, business processes and procedures.
- Define test strategies, test plans and test scripts for new configuration, updates, and process changes. Facilitate test processes to ensure quality assurance. Work with users to ensure sufficient testing is performed.
- Develops, enhances, and tests reports based on specifications.
- Writes simple to moderate structured query language (SQL) queries.
- Coordinate upgrades of software applications.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
High school or equivalent; Four year certificate from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two plus years of application support, business knowledge and/or combination of the two. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all levels of management and with fellow employees.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, and other employees.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.

Valid Florida Driver's license
Other Skills and Abilities
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office, Outlook, MS Visio, MS Access, Crystal Reports, Query and other report tools.
- Language (SQL) skills, Microsoft SQL Server and database management skills required.
- Software configuration and analysis experience preferred
- Ability to multi-task and resolve issues in a timely manner required.
- A high degree of initiative and creativity while being detail oriented
- Adept at applying troubleshooting and problem solving techniques
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
