Waldorf Grades Teacher (K-8) – Peace Valley Charter School
Location: Boise, Idaho
Application Deadline: March 30th
About Peace Valley Charter School
Peace Valley Charter School is a thriving K-8 public Waldorf charter school located in Boise, Idaho—a city known for its vibrant arts scene, stunning outdoor recreation, and strong sense of community. As the first Waldorf school in our area, we are pioneering a holistic, low-tech, nature-based education for families who may not otherwise have access to this approach.
Our school culture is collaborative, warm, and deeply rooted in Waldorf principles. We emphasize the development of healthy, confident, self-directed learners who engage meaningfully with the world. Parents are integral members of our school community, supporting festivals, fundraising events, and special class projects.
About the Role
We are seeking passionate, dedicated teachers for our K-8 grade program. Teachers at Peace Valley have the opportunity to loop with their class, either through a full 1st-8th grade cycle or within a smaller range (e.g., 1st-3rd, 1st-5th, or 5th-8th), based on their strengths and comfort.
Our faculty are responsible for bringing Waldorf-inspired, hands-on learning while incorporating Idaho Common Core standards. Teachers work closely with specialty subject instructors (Movement, Eurythmy, and Mandarin), and we encourage parent-supported Garden, Woodwork, and Handwork classes.
