Medication Aide

We are seeking a dedicated medication passer to join our team. In this role, you will make a difference in the lives of seniors and people with disabilities by enhancing their quality of life. You will work under the supervision of our nurses and nurse administrative assistant.

Medication Aide Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Follows established healthcare standards and practices including the six rights:
• Right patient
• Right medication
• Right dose
• Right time
• Right route
• Right documentation
• Observes policies and procedures when administering medication
• Monitors patients and updates patient records
• Documents drug intake and reports effectiveness of medicines
• Reports allergic reactions and other adverse effects to the registered nurse
• Records changes in treatment and medication orders
• Implements prescribed patient medication with correct medicine and dosage
• Provides first aid and emergency care when needed

Medication Aide Job Requirements

• Previous experience in the healthcare industry a plus
• CNA or TMA certification preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
• Patient and compassionate
• Physically fit as this may require standing for long periods and heavy lifting
• High school diploma or equivalent

$20-24 DOE

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
