The Executive Director will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the day-to-day operations of the facility. The administrator will provide support in the resident care as needed. The position will report to the Director of Care Operations and agrees to comply with and perform the duties and responsibilities as described below.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE :

  • Always maintain complete confidentiality in all business and personal dealings with residents, family, staff, and public.
  • Is responsible for the well-being and protection of every resident and all staff when using facility property, i.e.; all property of facility to be up to code and regulations according to State laws.
  • Must be available a minimum of 40 hours per week with the understanding that more hours may be necessary to complete deadlines or during periods of "extenuating" circumstances.
  • Be available as "on call" when not on the premises.
  • Is responsible for the oversight, performance management, wage management, and general staffing for all Peaceful Pines Employees.
  • Is responsible for holding staff meetings that foster team engagement, respectful participation, and a solution-oriented approach.
  • Ongoing willingness to take on new duties and embraces change.
  • Is the primary contact for all information regarding residency at the facility.
  • Is the primary person for marketing and promote the facility to the public through speaking engagements, health fair participation, print materials, healthcare focused communities and / or gatherings, gatherings and / or locations where the targeted audience is present and general information available to public.
  • Is the primary contact for business relationship building across healthcare system and other like organizations.
  • Is the primary person to provide tours of the facility to potential residents and / or families.
  • Will plan marketing strategies and execute them after approval of VP of Operations.
  • Will coordinate with nursing to schedule and conduct assessment appointments with potential residents prior to moving into the facility.
  • Is the primary contact person for potential residents or families of when considering residency.
  • Will make sure all paperwork is filled out correctly by family and / or potential resident prior to moving in a timely manner.
  • Is responsible to oversee that all services and business practices are being conducted according to State regulations.
  • Prepares and delivers all correspondence in regard to termination of services and / or residency within State regulations.
  • Is responsible for ensuring that all receivables are collected on time.
  • Is available to listen to, investigate, and assist residents with all suggestions and / or issues they may have.
  • Will provide direction to maintenance in facility upkeep.
  • Will intervene and give assistance to residents, family, or staff when necessary.
  • Is responsible for all day-to-day operations of the facility and will investigate and make the final decisions, when necessary, in the daily and future operations of facility.
  • Is responsible for managing the facility operational budget.
  • Is responsible for emergency preparedness and all procedures related to the preparedness.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Must have high school diploma
  • Must possess a post-secondary administration degree or Assisted Living Administration Certification meeting SD state requirements
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
  • 5 years of work experience in the Assisted Living field with two years of progressive leadership experience preferred
  • Must possess strong leadership and management skills
  • Must be efficient with Microsoft Office products, general computer skills, and slight to moderate working knowledge of software and hardware systems
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated, organized, efficient, and able to respond to resident and / or company needs in a positive and timely manner
  • Preferred knowledgeable in Federal, State, and general health care related regulations along with the ability to operationalize said regulations
  • Must maintain high standards of personal conduct and confidentiality practices at all times
  • Must be able to effectively monitor and intervene in any situations
  • Must be knowledgeable in all areas of good customer service
