About the job:
This is an IN-PERSON, 1:1, art class with a wonderful adult individual with intellectual and or developmental . The classes can be step by step drawings, crafts with construction paper, coloring, art kits, watercolor paintings, canvas paintings, etc. (The client will pick what they will like to do and we will do our best to accommodate their needs).
The client is located in East Windsor, NJ and you must travel to their home for class.
Time of class: TBT - depending on what works for you & the client
Pay $50 dollars for the hour.
Potential to find more clients in your area if you're interested in more.
**MUST have experience with individuals with intellectual and development disabilities.**
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging art classes
- Teach 1:1 various art techniques, styles, and mediums
- Provide guidance and support to student in exploring their creativity and developing their artistic skills
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment that encourages students participation and collaboration
- Organize and plan art projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Art Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification or license in Art Education
- Experience in lesson planning and curriculum development
- Knowledge of various art techniques, styles, and mediums
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners, including students with special education needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
- Experience in mentoring or providing guidance to students in their artistic development is a plus
-Valid drivers license
