Details of the position:
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
- Documents patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
- Directs and delegates care to other team members in accordance with their education, credentials, and demonstrated competence.
- Ensures own professional effectiveness through education and professional development.
- Participates in the development of and maintains established hospital policies, procedures and objectives, quality improvement, safety, environmental and infection prevention program.
- The position entails: installs Infusion Therapy and OP nursing treatments. Works directly with community clinics and the Emergency room to provide and coordinate care for outpatients requiring infusion i.e. bridging therapy, IV antibiotics, hydration and supportive chemo management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Accredited School of Nursing Required: Nursing
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Preferred: Specialty certification
- Minimum one year Required; experience in Home Health, IV Therapy, Clinic or Med Surg Nursing.
- Previous Infusion experience as an RN is preferred, Centra line, IV and PICC line care and knowledge also preferred.
- Required: Registered Nurse and
- Required Upon Hire: Basic Life Support
