Position Summary: The Baker is responsible for the production of sweet dessert baked goods for PHR customers and catering orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Obtain complete knowledge of the menu
· Prepare baked goods such as cakes, pies, cookies, dessert bars
· Take customer orders and create future catering orders
· Maintain a clean and organized work area
· Restock supplies and ingredients as needed
· Demonstrate excellent communication skills
· Demonstrate 100% commitment to guest satisfaction
· Properly train on all tasks before performing them
· Observe sanitation and health guidelines including strictly following proper hand-washing techniques
· Assist other departments within the restaurant when needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Prior baker experience working in a restaurant or deli setting preferred
· Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
· Excellent customer service and communication skills
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
· High School diploma or equivalent
· Personal hygiene and food safety mindedness is of the utmost importance.
