Position Summary: The Baker is responsible for the production of sweet dessert baked goods for PHR customers and catering orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
. Obtain complete knowledge of the menu
. Prepare baked goods such as cakes, pies, cookies, dessert bars
. Take customer orders and create future catering orders
. Maintain a clean and organized work area
. Restock supplies and ingredients as needed
. Demonstrate excellent communication skills
. Demonstrate 100% commitment to guest satisfaction
. Properly train on all tasks before performing them
. Observe sanitation and health guidelines including strictly following proper hand-washing techniques
. Assist other departments within the restaurant when needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
. Prior baker experience working in a restaurant or deli setting preferred
. Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
. Excellent customer service and communication skills
. Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs.
. High School diploma or equivalent
. Personal hygiene and food safety mindedness is of the utmost importance.
