Job Summary
Peach Procurement Solutions is hiring a Registered Nurse to serve as a Tour Coordinator at Northern Navajo Medical Center in Shiprock, NM. This is a 1099 contract position supporting a federal contract with the Indian Health Service and is contingent upon government award. The Tour Coordinator RN plays a key leadership role by coordinating patient care across departments and overseeing nursing operations during each shift.
What You'll Do
- Manage patient movement: admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Round on inpatient units to assess safety, staffing, and patient flow
- Act as the main contact for shift coordination and urgent issues
- Respond to emergencies including Code Blue, elopements, and falls
- Work closely with ER, OR, Radiology, Lab, Facilities, and Administration
- Document shift activity in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
Requirements
- Active, unrestricted RN license (in any U.S. state or territory)
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience, including 2 years as a shift lead or Tour Coordinator
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- Able to pass a federal background check and fingerprinting
- Must be fully immunized and cleared by a healthcare provider
- Must carry or obtain medical liability insurance ($1M per occurrence / $3M aggregate)
- Strong leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Comfortable working in a rural hospital environment
