Position Summary -Sprays surfaces of trucks, buses, vans or  other vehicles a assigned with protective or decorative material, such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer, using spray gun.

·        Review repair estimates for painting instructions and create plan to perform work.

·        Provide proper tools and tool storage for performing assigned tasks.

·        Disassemble and re-assemble of truck parts and accessories for access to painted surfaces.

·        Sand, prime and prep painted surfaces for painting.

·        Operating air operated sanding and grinding equipment

·        Perform all taping and masking in a professional manner to insure a quality and acceptable finished product.

·        Ability to identify that surfaces are paint ready before applying paint products

·        Proper training for applying paint products and knowledge of paint mixing procedures.

·        Operating pressurized spray equipment

·        Familiar with safety equipment for painting, respirators, body protection ect.

·        Ability to provide a quality and acceptable paint finish for all paint assignments

Other duties as assigned

An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable

·        Automotive/truck body painting

·        Paint mixing

·        Knowledge of respirator systems
