Under the supervision of the Service Manager and oversite by the Service Advisor, the Service Advisor Trainee is responsible for developing the skills necessary t assume the role as a Service Advisor to receive service work from the customer and communicate with the technician and customer through completion of the repair, including completion of the invoice.

Education
General Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

No prior experience or training
An equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable
Specific Experience
Excellent communication and customer service skills are required for this role
Knowledge of class 8 truck repair is a giant plus

- Communicate with the customer to understand their repair needs and advises customer as to required repair and cost estimates.
- Communicates through written work order and verbal explanation the customers’ needs and requirement of the job.
- Creates work orders.
- Creates repair estimates based on the technician’s diagnosis.
- Communicates repair needs to customer and obtains approval for repairs.
- Completes invoice and obtains payment.
- Closes repair orders
- Other duties as assigned
