Creative Solutions in Healthcare is seeking a Human Resource Clerk/Medical Records to join our growing team! This dual-role position requires a detail-oriented and organized professional to oversee both medical records and HR functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. Success in this position requires trustworthiness, strong multitasking skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various departments.
- Manage Employee Data: Enter and update new hires, pay rate changes, and termination information in HR systems.
- Assist with Recruitment: Review applications, evaluate applicant qualifications, and support the hiring process.
- Advise on HR Policies: Provide guidance to managers, supervisors, and employees regarding company HR policies and compliance.
- Payroll & Benefits Assistance: Address payroll-related inquiries and ensure accurate records for employees.
- Employee File Management: Maintain accurate personnel records, ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
- Support Employee Relations: Assist in employee recognition programs, performance management, and workplace concerns.
- Coordinate Training & Compliance: Help organize staff training sessions and HR-related workshops.
Medical Records Responsibilities
- Manage Medical Records: Organize and maintain facility medical records in compliance with company, state, and federal regulations.
- Ensure Record Accuracy: Code and quantify records from admission to discharge.
- Support Policy Development: Assist in developing and updating medical record policies and procedures.
- Maintain Accessibility: Keep a documented, organized system readily accessible to staff.
- Prepare Reports: Generate reports as requested for management and compliance reviews.
- Conduct Chart Audits: Perform quarterly resident chart audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Holds a Medical Records certification (preferred).
- Has experience in Human Resources, payroll, or administrative support.
- Demonstrates strong organizational and clerical skills with attention to detail.
- Possesses excellent communication skills to interact with staff and management.
- Has a solid understanding of medical terminology and HR best practices.
- Works well both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

Enter new hires; pay rate changes, and termination information into the computer for all employees.

Review applications/resumes; evaluate applicant skills and make recommendations regarding applicant qualifications.

Advise managers, supervisors and employees on human resource policies.

Assist departments with personnel/payroll related inquiries; advise and assist on current departmental HR procedures related to employee records; coordinate activities and acts as liaison between departments and general staff.

Provide information and consultation regarding employment issues, e.g. transfers, promotion/demotion, reduction-in-force, placement, independent contractor status, etc.

Oversee employee events to ensure adherence to the Employee Recognition Guidelines.

Prepare, maintain or monitor various personnel and risk management programs/files.

Perform a variety of responsible office support work such as composing confidential correspondence and resolutions; preparation of spreadsheets and data entry.

Interprets applies and explains Company policies, and state and federal laws and regulations.

Maintaining accurate records and files.
Requirements:

A minimum of 2 years of Human Resource and/or Payroll experience.

Ability to organize, prioritize, and works within deadlines.

Ability to comply with the Company's and departmental safety policies and procedures.
