Position Summary
Peachtree Catering & Events, the premier catering company of Greater Philadelphia, is seeking dedicated and service-driven event servers to join our team. Unlike traditional restaurant service, this role is focused on high-end events such as weddings, corporate gatherings, and galas, where teamwork, professionalism, and adaptability are essential. Our servers ensure a seamless guest experience through impeccable hospitality, attention to detail, and efficient execution of event service.
This is a flexible and rewarding opportunity with competitive pay and opportunities for gratuities and advancement. Most event servers work 1-2 shifts per week, while those seeking additional hours may work 4-6 shifts per week during peak seasons.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with full event setup and breakdown, including table arrangements, buffet stations, and venue organization.
- Provide high-level, attentive service to guests, anticipating needs and ensuring a smooth dining experience.
- Serve plated meals, manage buffet stations, and expertly handle food running and tray-passing.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with sanitation and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and event team to ensure efficient food and beverage service.
- Memorize event-specific menus and specialty drinks to provide accurate recommendations to guests.
- Respond swiftly and professionally to guest requests, special dietary needs, or service concerns.
- Follow Peachtree Catering’s gratuity policies and team-based service approach.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of front-of-house experience in fine dining or special event service.
- Weekend availability is essential.
- Strong ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Professional appearance, excellent communication skills, and a guest-focused mindset.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation is a plus, but candidates comfortable navigating SEPTA or rideshare are welcome.
- Possessing RAMP certification, wine knowledge, bartending skills, or general food & beverage expertise is a plus.
