Position Summary:
Peachtree Catering & Events, the premier catering company of Greater Philadelphia, is looking for a Facilities & Driver team member to support event operations, venue upkeep, and deliveries. This role is essential in ensuring seamless event execution by assisting with setup, transportation, and facility maintenance. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced event environment. Weekend availability is required.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport catering equipment, décor, and supplies to and from event venues.
- Load and unload vehicles with precision, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly secured.
- Plan efficient driving routes, adjusting as needed based on traffic or road conditions.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, report maintenance needs, and ensure readiness for daily operations.
- Assist with venue setup, including room arrangements, furniture placement, and outdoor ceremony setups.
- Perform routine facility maintenance such as restocking restrooms, cleaning common areas, and ensuring proper lighting.
- Monitor and manage trash disposal, including organizing the dumpster area and sweeping exterior spaces.
- Prepare and maintain firepits when required, ensuring wood is stocked and fires are properly managed.
- Support event breakdown by flipping spaces, collecting glassware and dishes, and ensuring all areas are clean and reset.
- Secure all indoor and outdoor spaces post-event, including turning off lights, locking doors, and closing windows.
Qualifications
- At least one year of driving experience with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation and local roads.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Professional and courteous demeanor with a focus on efficiency.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
- Ability to closely follow written and verbal instructions, including comprehensive pack lists
