RN Position Summary
A Registered Nurse is responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help provide patient care. The duties of a RN may vary, but generally include the following :
- Manage the nursing care for all residents and delegate shift tasks to nurses.
- Supervise nurse aides as they complete their assignments.
- Observe residents’ conditions, oversee, and respond as necessary.
- Inform physicians of any changes in resident conditions.
- Communicate with patients, family members, and the interdisciplinary team about care plan changes.
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.
