Key Responsibilities
- Client Care: Oversee and manage the care of clients undergoing detoxification, ensuring appropriate treatment protocols are followed.
- Nursing Team Supervision: Lead and support nursing staff in the delivery of care. Ensure proper staffing levels and provide training and development opportunities for team members.
- Clinical Monitoring: Perform patient assessments, administer medications as prescribed, and monitor patients’ physical and mental health throughout the detox process.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and complete documentation in client records. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and facility policies.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergencies and adverse reactions, providing timely interventions and ensuring client safety.
- Performance Improvement: Must be familiar with the implementation and design of performance improvement for staff.
- Education: Registered Nurse (RN) with an active state license.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role. Experience in addiction treatment, detoxification, or behavioral health is preferred.
- Joint Commissions Standards: Familiarity and understanding of Joint Commissions standards.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification preferred.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Knowledge of detox protocols, substance use disorders, and psychiatric nursing.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
