The Fund Accounting Manager oversees the accounting for a diverse portfolio of investments, including securities, commodities, and real estate within an investment fund. This fast-paced, deadline-driven role requires precision and efficiency to meet daily reporting requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain monthly cash logs.
• Track share for REIT investors.
• Responsible for the financial package review monthly from our fund administrator.
• Ensure the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Review and approve reconciliations, valuations, and other accounting activities.
• Prepare and review periodic financial reports for stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and other relevant accounting standards.
• Coordinate audits and provide necessary documentation and support to auditors.
• Reconcile accrual/payment schedules for our PACE lending side.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including SEC, IRS, and other relevant
bodies.
• Stay updated on changes in regulations and accounting standards that impact fund
accounting.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
• BS Degree in Accounting required- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• At least 3-4 years of Real Estate Fund Accounting experience preferred.
• REIT experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Able to multitask and perform tasks under strict deadlines.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
