Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager to oversee our office operations and ensure efficient administrative processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with proficiency in various financial software. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate financial records, managing payroll, winery compliance and supporting the overall financial health of the organization.
Duties
- Manage daily office operations, ensuring a smooth workflow and effective communication among staff.
- Perform general ledger reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
- Oversee payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
- Conduct bank reconciliation to verify account balances and transactions.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights for budgeting and forecasting.
- Utilize accounting software such as Quicken to manage financial data efficiently.
- Assist in technical accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with team members to develop budgets and monitor expenditures against budgetary constraints.
- Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and documentation for easy retrieval.
- Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll
- Reconcile bank & credit card statements
- monthly billing of custom crush/storage
- Track Dailey tasting room activity
- Process Purchase orders
- COGS for each bottling
- work with insurance broker on annual renewal
- work with CPA for tax filings &. business property statements
- manage barrel purchase with H&A finance portal
- distributor billbacks, inventory and reconciliation
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role, preferably within a finance or accounting environment.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger reconciliation, payroll processing, bank reconciliation, and budgeting practices.
- Proficiency in financial software and accounting software; familiarity with Quick Books, Excel, Avalara, Wine Direct and Vintrace
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective report writing and team collaboration.
- Strong attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- A degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
