Bike & Outdoor Sales Guides (Part time)

Summary

We're looking for outdoor and bike enthusiasts to join our sales team.We're a local, hospitality-focused business that cares about learning, adventure, and sustainability. This is a year-round position that requires working Thursday to Sunday. We've recently combined our bike shop with our outdoor store and we're looking for someone that is comfortable selling everything from a mountain bike to a hiking shoe.

We're located in Oregon's Willamette Valley between the coast range and the Cascades with easy access to trails, rivers, and mountains. We work hard and play hard, so if you're looking for a workplace of like-minded individuals to join you on a morning trail run, after-work mountain bike ride, or weekend backpacking trip, you've come to the right place.

Duties

• Greet guests and utilize the sales process to understand a guest's needs and ascertain the right combination of products and services
• Provide an exceptionally friendly and hospitable environment
• Open and close cash registers, performing tasks such as counting money, separating charge slips, coupons, and vouchers, and balancing cash drawers
• Willing to learn use and learn product knowledge
• Assist with rental and service departments
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace
• Crosstrain in our used gear shop (The Annex)
• Assist with merchandising, creating product displays, and organizing backstock areas
• Departmental projects

• Bike product knowledge
• Outdoor clothing and gear product knowledge

• Ability to thrive in a high-paced team environment
• Ability to stay focused and productive during down time
