SAFETY MANAGER

OBJECTIVES
- Lead the Safety focus for Peak to promote and enhance Peak’s safety Culture
- Identify potential hazards and partner with Field Operations Managers and Project supervisors to implement a proactive safety program.
- Establish and enforce safety programs with the goal of accident-free projects.
- Define, evaluate, and communicate safety risk to both staff and the company relative to on site activities.
- Work closely with project managers, field staff and executive teams to communicate safety related topics and implement safety conscious planning and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Ultimately, the Safety Director at Peak Construction Corporation is Primarily Responsible for the following:
- Plan, Implement, and supervise project safety across all projects and geographies where Peak operates;
- Take lead role, manage, implement, and supervise preventative measures and accident response protocols in the event of safety related jobsite occurrences;
- Across all projects, analyze the need and determine specifications for protective safety equipment, materials, and gear;
- Direct third-party audit consultants and perform in house inspections of all Peak construction sites.
- Ensure all required records and reports are complete, accurate and submitted per established procedures.
- Design, manage and implement safety training for Peak.
- Develop and deliver OSHA 10/30 training
- Participate in new employee onboarding and orientations relative to safety
- Provide advanced Safety Certification training for all Superintendents/field supervisors
- Host / present jobsite safety stand-down presentations to Peak and Subcontractor Teams on as needed basis
- Manage all aspects of OSHA reporting requirements
- Create and implement safety dashboard reporting for executive management information
- Work with Marketing to communicate Peak safety initiatives for presentation to potential new and existing clients
Other Responsibilities and Duties:
- Timely responses (emails, texts, phone calls) to Peak team and third party vendors/partners on all project issues;
- Employ a pro-active (not reactive) management style;
- Continually search for what we don’t know we don’t know;
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well, collaboratively, constructively, and productively with others;
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Must be self-Motivated
- Strong leadership skills.
- Education: 4 Year Degree in Construction Management, Business Administration or related field.
- Experience – Min 10 years’ experience in Construction Management, Safety or strongly related field;
- Position is bonus and profit sharing eligible - discretionary

Salary : $100,000 - $150,000
