Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Crane Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating cranes and other heavy equipment on construction sites to facilitate the movement of materials and ensure efficient project execution. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical operations, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Operate various types of cranes, including but not limited to, mobile cranes, and crawler cranes.
- Perform pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other team members to determine lifting requirements and project specifications.
- Safely lift, move, and position heavy materials using cranes and other heavy equipment.
- Maintain clear communication with ground personnel during lifting operations to ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Conduct routine maintenance on cranes and heavy equipment, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Assist in the operation of telehandler, skid loader, boom lifts, or other heavy machinery as needed.
- Assist in steel and precast erection activities when not operating crane
- Welding experience a plus
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies while on the construction site.
Requirements
- CCO certified operator for lattice boom, swing cab, and fixed cab cranes.
- Proven experience operating cranes or other heavy equipment in a construction environment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to crane operation and maintenance.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining focus on safety.
- Familiarity with construction site protocols and procedures.
- Capability to dig or assist with steel and precast erection tasks.
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors.
