GVR Dental and Orthodontics, located in Green Valley Ranch, is growing and seeking an experienced Expanded Duty Dental Assistant, 4 days per week, Monday through Thursday with 1 (short) Saturday per month. We are a patient-driven practice, with one doctor, and pride ourselves on strong communication and teamwork. Schedule: Full time, Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm, 1 Saturday per month 8am-2pm
Responsibilities to include (but are not limited to):
- Assisting Dentist throughout procedures by providing the best clinical and non-clinical experience to each patient
- Review of patient health history
- Sterilization of all dental and medical instruments
- Daily set up & organization of instruments used for procedures throughout the day
- Capturing diagnostic X-Rays
- Applying topical anesthesia as directed by the doctor
- Basic EDDA duties
- Placing fillings
- Taking impressions
- Fabricating temporary crowns
- Organization and sterilization of the operatories
- Assisting with lab tasks and procedures
- Updating patient records
- Scheduling patient appointments

Requirements
- Proven experience as an EDDA dental assistant, at least 1 year is required
- CPR/BLS certification
- Xray certification required
- EDDA certification preferred
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- The ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus
- Good computer skills. Knowledge of Denticon is a plus!
