EDDA-Dental Assistant

Windsor Family Dentistry is a fast-paced and friendly family dental practice located in Windsor, Colorado. We are seeking a passionate and detail oriented EDDA to join us full time Tuesday through Friday. In this role, you will assist our provider chairside while delivering a high standard of care and customer service for our patients. We have a large adult patient population so our ideal candidate must have experience working with patients of all ages. Schedule: Tuesday-Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-3pm

EDDA Dental Assistant Responsibilities & Desired Skills:

*Welcome patients into the office

*Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort

*Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed

*Sterilize instruments according to regulations

*Assist the dentist chairside

*Undertake lab tasks as instructed

*Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions

*Keep operatories clean and well-stocked

*Schedule appointments

*Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures

*Comfortable working with adult patients

*Comfortable with placing Fillings

*Comfortable taking Impressions

*Experience fabricating Temp Crowns

*Experience seating Crowns

*Pleasant, professional chairside manner

Requirements:

*EDDA with at least 2 years of experience

*Experience in General Dentistry

*Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods

*Understanding of health & safety regulations

*Good computer skills

*Excellent communication and people skills

*Attention to detail

*Well-organized and reliable

*High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred

*Additional certification or training is an asset

*Denticon experience is a plus but not required
