Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8:30am-5pm
Responsibilities Include:
*Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and materials.
*Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, such as fillings, crowns, implants, dentures, extractions, etc.
*Ensure the patient’s comfort throughout the procedure.
*Greet and prepare patients for their visit.
*Explain procedures and answer any questions patients may have.
*Record and update patient medical histories and personal information.
*Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
*Perform preliminary assessments, including measuring blood pressure.
*Schedule patient appointments.
*Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
*Monitor and order dental supplies and equipment as needed.
*Ensure the dental operatory is stocked and organized.
*Follow protocols for infection control and sterilization of instruments and equipment.
*Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dental operatory and office.
*Work closely with the dentist and other dental professionals to ensure a smooth workflow.
*Assist in training and mentoring new dental assistants or staff members.
*Provide patients with information on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
*Educate patients on preventive dental care and maintenance.
*Be prepared to respond to dental emergencies and provide basic first aid as needed.
*Stay updated with the latest dental technologies, procedures, and regulations.

Requirements:
*Registered Dental Assistant in the state of TX is required
*3 years of experience as a Registered Dental Assistant is required
*Must have reliable transportation
*Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
*Understanding of health & safety regulations
*Ability to perform regulated surgical and nonsurgical tasks
*Strong computer skills Denticon is preferred but is not required
*Excellent communication and people skills
*Attention to detail
*Well-organized and reliable
*High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred
*Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
