Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Audiology Technician to join our dynamic team at Peak ENT / Hearing and Balance Institute of Utah. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our audiologists and ensuring smooth operations within our audiology department. You will assist in various aspects of audiological/patient care, and administrative tasks to ensure our patients receive the highest level of care.
Responsibilities:
Perform basic hearing aid maintenance and troubleshooting while assisting patients in our walk-in hearing aid clinic.
Provide administrative support to the audiology department, including managing phone calls and coordinating appointments.
Manage patient scheduling, ensuring efficient workflow and minimal wait times.
Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and documentation.
Keep inventory of audiology supplies and assist with ordering when necessary.
Assist with hearing aid fitting preparation and follow-up appointments.
Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
Collaborate with audiologists, early intervention providers and other healthcare professionals to deliver outstanding patient care.
Maintain a clean and organized testing environment.
Prepare and maintain audiology equipment, ensuring it is calibrated and functions properly.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in audiology or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in a healthcare or customer service role is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Empathetic and compassionate demeanor in patient interactions.
Basic knowledge of audiology equipment and terminology preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
