The Production Manager must have the following skills and abilities:
- Landscape Experience / Pool / Civil Sitework/ Construction
- Process-oriented and able to work effectively in a designed system.
- Project management experience
- Computer software skills
- Material procurement
- Coordination of crews and deliveries and ability to meet project deadlines
- Ability to work 50 hours per week during the construction season
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate project managers/crew leaders and hold them accountable for their production goals.
- Ensure expectations are set correctly with all clients in regards to their project expectations and execution.
- Accurately produce change orders quickly and effectively.
- Creating our weekly production schedule with a high level of detail. Coordinate staff, material, information, trucks, and equipment.
- Schedule weekly production goals in order to achieve budgeted annual production goals for the build division.
- Participate in a weekly production meeting in which sales and operations review and fine-tune the following week’s production schedule, anticipating and solving potential issues in advance.
- Collaborate with the operations team to complete jobs on time, and on budget with minimal workmanship issues and a great customer experience.
- Achieve gross profit in line with project estimates.
- Learn and master our processes and systems for purchasing, estimating and project handoffs.
- Manage an organized database of construction files, photos, plans, proposals, etc., so they can be accessed as needed.
- Develop and improve estimating templates to improve the efficiency and accuracy of bids.
